Zeitgeist is a documentary that offers theories on religion, power and corruption, and the real driving force behind the government. Even if you think you've seen all the other anti-religious, anti-government movies, I'd recommend watching this one as it digs a lot deeper than the rest.

There's a pretty long montage at the beginning so skip to about 9:00 to cut to the chase.

While the movie isn't necessarily complete truth, it does encourage you to think critically and to research the information it presents. Like how there's no law stating you have to pay Federal Income Tax, what happened to WTC7 and the Pentagon during 9/11, RFIDs, the North American Union and Ameros, American involvement in past wars (and the current one), previous economic collapses and so forth.

I hate how these kinds of movies keep me awake more at night than any other movie (sans the Ring of course) ever has.

Its quite a good movie. I think the point of the movie was to question motives of the government. The religion part was a good, and I quite enjoyed the whole thing. Although some things to be hard to swallow.

Seen it a couple months ago I agreed with the religion, most religions are all the same with minor differences. I think not paying the Federal Income Tax has penalties, I might have to ask my father he is an accountant so he should know. If what they say is true about the WTC, then America is really RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOed up beyond repair.

That was definately pretty creepy. I kinda lost interest during the 3rd part but got the jist of it.

I never heard anything about WT7 and if that is actual footage of it collapsing... well damn.

I saw it a year or two ago.

It's a nice movie, but as with all things, take it with a grain of salt.

I did a research report about my senior year, I will try to find the mans name but he has a book out about his 15 odd years of not paying taxes and all the things he did to never pay them again, according to his book, and all the court cases he won, it is unconstitutional for the government to tax us. It shocked me.

The WTC7 stuff is legit
There is an interview on PBS by the owner of the WTC about how it was found to be unsound and the order was given to "pull" it.
The term pull is used in controlled demolitions. The middle is destroyed to "pull" out the matter to force a controlled center drop.
haven't watched your film yet though.
Just done a lot of my own research into what really happened myself.
And yes, it is very scary when you start to examine the facts and not the propaganda.

The avoiding taxation is based on Tort law. As sovereign individuals in America(not anymore but we are supposed to be) we are exempt from direct taxation. That is why our nation was founded on excise and import taxes only. Since 1922(Federal Reserve approved as a private bank to run America) the nation agreed to tax it's citizens to pay for money instead of printing it like our Constitution states that it should.
Truth is very much scarier than fiction imo.

I think these movies are great for inspiring you to think critically, nothing more, alot of the stuff found in them are rather BS and unproven with little to no facts supporting them other than the fact that the statement itself is SCARRRYYYY, There are a few things that are very feesable and well backed up, but we'll never truly know on.

But to simply eat up this movie and believe everything in it is as ignorant as it is saying people are for simply eating up what the government has to say.

Question everything, trust only what you've seen not what you're told.

Ironic, seeing as how the first part only compares Christianity to other religions without giving facts about why Jesus could never have lived

Unfortunately, the great majority of the statements in Zeitgeist are supported by 100% factual evidence. Granted, these facts are presented from a very skewed perspective and, in some cases, there is another completely factual side of the story to balance them out. However, that doesn't change the fact that religion is a farce and governments are corrupt.

I hate Zeitgeist with a fiery passion, but even so, I can't deny the facts that are presented in the film.

Actually I did some research on the first part. I have to say they bent facts a lot. Jezus was used to be compared to Oziris in various researches and not to Horus and those comparisons were much harder to argue than the ones in the film. They just merge those two gods there. Not mentioning the fact that the whole conception of Horus had more than two totally different mainstream versions (in one he was born normally in other adopted etc etc) and they took facts from both to match their theory. I think it is also easier to see the stuff they do in Zeitgeist when you are not originally English speaking. Most of the games of words they used as examples work in English only. When you try to translate what they are trying to say in other language it stops looking convincing. Regarding other parts of the movie I would not comment. I just do not know.
